Gear Review: Adidas Pureboost

Adidas Pureboost in Spain Review

Every year before we take our annual multi month trip away from the great pacific northwest I snag myself a new pair of super comfortable shoes to wear while we’re away. For the last few years my go to shoes have been Nike’s with an Airmax or Lunarlon sole. From what I had experienced they were the most comfortable footbeds in the game. This last winter trip (Jan - Apr 2018) to Spain though I decided to switch it up and try out some Adidas Boosts and see if the hype was real. After far too much google research, youtube reviews and ridiculous side by side comparisons, I landed on the Adidas Pureboost.

The first thing that drew me to the sneaker was the look. It’s much simpler and cleaner looking than the ultraboost, with the plastic three stripe mold eating up the side ,and it’s a bit more structured looking than the ultraboost uncaged with its tounge-less sock look. The Pureboost color way I chose was super basic and would match just about anything I could wear with its basic black/grey/white color palette. The ability to wear the sneaker with many different outfits was super important to me since I only had 2 pairs of shoes in my bag.

Adidas Pureboost Northwest Shoe Review

The other thing that really sold me on these Adidas Pureboost was the footbed. These things are ridiculously comfortable. Since we usually do an exorbitant amount of walking around on these winter trips it was crucial that these shoes were great fitting and comfortable. These little fellas checked off both boxes. Whether we were winding up the hilly streets of Granada or hiking through the rocks of El Torcal these Adidas were awesome to have on my feet.
